Creative Writing Classes at Knocklyon Adult Education


I'm delighted to be invited back as tutor for Creative Writing classes for beginners in St Colmcille's Community School in Knocklyon this autumn.

The eight-week course begins on Monday 16th September and runs from 7 to 9pm. If you've ever thought about putting pen to paper and exploring your writing voice, come along. Booking opened on Monday last but there are still places available.

FLASH FICTION

Participants are invited to tell a story in 5OO words or less, on any theme.

Judge: Kathryn Crowley. 

Kathryn Crowley retired from teaching to write and to teach creative writing from her home in Knocklyon. She writes short fiction and memoir. She has two published collections, 'Sweaters and Small Stuff' and 'Room for One More' with Emu Ink Publishing. 

She has facilitated writing workshops with children and adults for a number of years and enjoys helping writers to find their writing voice.

Knocklyon Literary Festival in October 2024


Wonderful news! The renowned author and creative writing teacher Carolann Copland https://carolanncopland.ie/ is organising a literary festival in my 'hometown' of Knocklyon from October 2nd to 6th next. There are competitions, workshops, readings and other literary events for readers and writers of all ages.
